For patients looking to improve their complexion with no downtime, a HydraFacial® treatment is a great option. HydraFacial® is a non-invasive, multi-step treatment that uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate skin. Dry, dull, lackluster skin is instantly transformed, and skin is left feeling clean and looking smooth and radiant. Dermaplaning is also available with HydraFacial® and other exfoliating facial treatments to achieve deeper exfoliation and removal of fine hair (“peach fuzz”).

HydraFacial® uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate skin. The spiral design of the HydroPeel® Tips, used in conjunction with the proprietary vacuum technology and serums, creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously delivering hydrating skin solutions.

First, a new layer of skin is revealed with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing.  Next, debris is removed from the pores with painless suction, and if needed, manual extractions are performed.  Skin is then infused with a specialty serum containing nourishing and invigorating ingredients to quench and rejuvenate skin.

The deluxe version of treatment includes the benefits of lymphatic drainage, LED therapy, and a customizable booster serum to target concerns with acne, rosacea, wrinkles, pores, melasma, and other discoloration.

Hydrafacials® are comfortable, well-tolerated procedures. Most patients feel a mild vacuum-like suction gently tugging on the skin. Occasionally, there can be a mild stinging with application of acid solution, but this sensation is short-lived and typically resolves within minutes.

Discontinue retinoids (such as Retin-A®), benzoyl peroxide, alpha and beta hydroxy acids, depilatory creams, and other potential irritating ingredients three days before treatment.

Avoid laser and light-based treatments, electrolysis, waxing, laser hair reduction, neuromodulator treatment, filler and other injections in treatment area.

If instructed, follow specific skin prepping guidelines for indicated time frame to minimize risk of developing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

If instructed, take prescribed medication(s) to help prevent cold sores and/or infection.

There is minimal downtime with HydraFacial® treatment.  You are advised to avoid sun exposure and exfoliation for at least 3 days after treatment. You may apply make-up after treatment if necessary, but it is advised that you allow your skin to take a break from heavy make-up for the rest of the day.

You will see results immediately after HydraFacial®.  Skin appears smooth and radiant after treatment. HydraFacial® is safe and effective for all skin types and can be repeated monthly, but at the very least, treatment is recommended four times per year (as the seasons change) to keep skin smooth and supple.

You should not have HydraFacial® treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The procedure should also not be performed if you have open cuts, wounds, abrasions or are currently experiencing any acne or cold sore breakouts.

If you have are currently taking or have completed a course of isotretinoin, you will need to wait six months after completion of therapy before receiving a HydraFacial®.

SCALP EXFOLIATION: Scalp Exfoliation can be achieved with the same vortex technology used for HydraFacial® treatment of skin. The painless suction removes dirt, oil, and dead skin, while cleansing and hydrating hair follicles and stimulating scalp circulation.  Scalp exfoliation is especially beneficial for those with dandruff or scalp buildup.  With dryness, dead skin cells, clogged follicles, and reduced circulation being major contributors to damaged and thinning hair, exfoliation of the scalp is also beneficial to reduce hair loss. Treatment can be repeated quarterly or as needed for scalp health.
